LOCAL OUTREACH
We have a passion for missions not just globally, but right here in our own city. Whether through service projects and investing in our partnership right here at Western High School, or other opportunities that arise to reach and serve the local community, we are always up for ways God might stir one of our hearts to make a difference right here in our "Jerusalem." Below are some great opportunities and ways in which you and/or your microchurch can serve alongside our local missions partners!
4Kids
In every community, there are children and families at a point of crisis, who need help. In those same communities, there are churches and people who care and want to take action. But what they need is a connection point - Care Portal is that point of contact. CarePortal is a technology platform that connects the Body of Christ to the needs of children who are at-risk of being removed from their homes or who are already a part of the child welfare system. As part of 4KIDS' Care Portal network, each month, some of these needs are shared with our microchurch leaders, creating opportunities for microchurches to respond by helping to fulfill some of the Care Portal requests. Broward Outreach
In our society, dignity is not the first word or action that is associated with the homeless but not at Broward Outreach. Their focus is showing compassion, offering hope, and providing practical tools and programs for restoration and transformation. Broward Outreach offers various volunteer opportunities from ministering during meal times, praying over beds in the shelters, evangelizing throughout the city, and holding chapel services. Help be a part of bringing dignity back!
Firewall Centers
At Firewall, survival is not enough. They want their students to thrive! Firewall Centers provides daily, school-based tutoring and mentoring services designed to help students achieve academic success, build character, and transform into servant leaders. Help bridge the gap of social and educational inequality in Broward County!
Hope Women’s Center
An unexpected pregnancy can feel like the world is crashing around the women and men involved. Hope Women’s Centers lets them know they’re not alone! Hope offers free and confidential medical services, options counseling and after-abortion support to help women and men make informed decisions. Join Hope in helping impact current and future generations!
LOVE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST
Love INC exists to help churches help people. Rooted in the belief that the local church is God’s answer to community brokenness and a part of His plan of redemption and restoration; Love, Inc., seeks to mobilize local churches to offer a holistic approach to caring for people in all areas of life: spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, material, and physical.
